The Blood Moons

By Mark Biltz

Blood moons coming to the world! Are they a supernatural occurrence or a common event? If they are supernatural, what could they mean?

A blood moon is another name for a total lunar eclipse where the moon turns blood red. According to NASA, there are around 3,500 total lunar eclipses over a 5,000-year time period. That comes to one about every 1.5 years. Well, now there will be four over the next 1.5 years (2014-2015)! What are those odds? And what are the odds those four also will fall on the biblical Feast days! Well, that has only happened eight times over the last 2,000 years! Now let’s ask, what are the chances that the last one will be seen in Israel on the Feast of Tabernacles when the Jewish people will be outside in their sukkahs (booths) looking up at the heavens?

Let’s keep increasing the odds. The moon orbits the earth once a month. Because its path is elliptical, sometimes it is far away and other times it is close. When it is at its closest point to the earth it is called being at perigee. When the moon is at perigee and it is a full moon, it is known as a supermoon and appears 14% larger. It just so happens that this final blood moon, seen in Israel on the Feast of Tabernacles, is a super blood moon that is not only at perigee for the month but is at its closest point for the entire year! So while all of Israel will be outside on the Feast of Tabernacles, there will be a super blood moon auspiciously hanging over the nation!

But wait, there’s more to this totally supernatural occurrence! Look at what the Bible says in Deuteronomy:

And Moses commanded them, saying: “At the end of every seven years, at the appointed time in the year of release, at the Feast of Tabernacles, when all Israel comes to appear before the LORD your God in the place which He chooses, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together … that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law…” (Deut. 31:10-12).

According to the Bible, every seventh year, known as the shemittah year (a year of release), everyone in Israel, both Jew and non-Jew would gather to hear the Torah read by the King of Israel. Everyone had to assemble in Jerusalem to learn to fear the LORD their God. Well, get a load of this! The fourth blood moon (which will be in 2015) is also at the end of the seventh year on the Feast of Tabernacles! At that time there will be thousands of Christians in Israel from all over the world joining together with the Jewish people at the end of the shemittah year seeing a super blood moon over Jerusalem!

Watch Sid’s full interview with Mark Biltz on It’s Supernatural! and learn what the next Blood Moons may signify.

In 1967, the last time there were four blood moons in a row, Israel captured Jerusalem. The time before that was in 1948, right after Israel became a nation. Totally supernatural!

Out of His great mercy for all of humanity, this alarm would be capable of being understood by all of mankind from every tribe, nation and tongue, as the Bible says (see Ps. 19:1-5). The alarm bells would consist in the form of eclipses of heavenly objects. But more than that, it is the timing of these eclipses in relation to the biblical calendar that would allow us to recognize whether there is any prophetic significance to the wake up call or if it is just a random event.

We see in Genesis:

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years…” (Gen. 1:14).

No wonder we read that Jesus said in the Gospel of Luke:

And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, for the sea and the waves roaring (Luke 21:25).

The Muslim calendar is based solely on the moon. The Gentile calendar that the world uses today is based solely on the sun. Only the Jewish calendar is a biblically based calendar in sync with God’s appointed times.

Even Christianity has its own religious calendar and holy days separate from anything Jewish. We have all received bad data and flawed information. Whether it was intentional or out of ignorance from our forefathers, the spiritual ramifications are tremendous.

We must get on God’s calendar. We are called to watch and to pray. God’s people, when they are on God’s calendar, understand the times and seasons of the Lord. They will not be in darkness, they will not lose hope, they will know when to be watching and what to be watching for. The Day of the Lord will not come on them as a thief in the night.

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night…. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief (1 Thess. 5:1-4).

What could all of this mean? What might happen around the time of the blood moons? One possible scenario would be an epic prophetic war involving Israel just as when there were blood moons in 1948 and 1967. Another could be the collapse of the global financial system. In 2001, which was a shemittah year, on Elul 29, the day before Rosh HaShanah, the stock market dropped 7% — the largest single drop in U.S. history to that time. Seven years later on September 28, 2008 (which was also Elul 29), the day before Rosh HaShanah, the Dow fell 777 points, or another 7%! Now we come to Rosh HaShanah 2015 in a shemittah year and a solar eclipse to boot! This could be our third strike!

In the book of Joel, we see the sun turning to sackcloth and the moon to blood in the context of God judging all nations who are trying to divide His land (Israel). These four blood moons could be warning signals to Israel not to divide its land — and a warning to the nations not to pressure Israel to give up land.

Patricia KingPlease understand, I am not predicting or prophesying that there will be certain events at the time of the blood moons. All I am saying is the heavenly alarm bells are getting ready to sound. Let’s get on God’s calendar, seek Him and watch and pray so that we do not miss our appointment with destiny!

Dear Mishpochah

We are in the greatest expansion of reaching Jewish people since the First Century. Your partnership will not escape the notice and favor of heaven.

Last week I spoke by phone with an ultra-Orthodox Jewish woman who had read my evangelistic book, They Thought For Themselves, three times. This is the book of Jewish testimonies that we have mailed to 1.3 million Jews in North America through Project 77. We have also distributed 1.3 million copies in Russian as well as in Hebrew and Spanish. A number of years ago, God gave me the idea for this book in a dream.

This ultra-Orthodox woman thought what she read in my book might be true, but she was counting the cost of following Jesus as her Messiah. Orthodox Judaism was her life. She loved God with all her heart. Family and community are all intertwined in this sect of Judaism. It is not like being a Sunday Christian. If she accepted Jesus, she could lose her family, children, parents and her whole community.

She went into her bedroom and prayed this desperate prayer: “Dear God, either kill me or show me the truth about Jesus!” Then she said, “I do not know if I was in my body or not, but I was in the presence of a man.” First she looked at His feet. They were pierced. Then she looked at His hands. They too were pierced. Then she looked at His face. She told me she had never experienced such love as what she felt coming from His eyes. She would follow this One anywhere. Then, He told her His name was Jesus.

When the woman shared this revelation with her husband, he reacted harshly. He told her she had to be confined to her bedroom whenever he was home. He said he did not want to see her face. Her father rejected her as well. Her life became unbearable. She told me the only thing that sustained her during this time was our TV show It’s Supernatural!

Then one day when she was out of the house, her husband went into her bedroom. He read all the books and literature she had ordered from our ministry. When she came home, he told her he believed in Jesus! Not only that, but he wanted to enroll in our highest mentoring club!

One week later I prayed for her to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The outpouring of the presence of God was majestic as she started speaking in an unknown language. I also told her that in Christianity there were more divisions than in Judaism. I said some Christians believe miracles ceased with the Apostles, while others still believe in miracles today. She was shocked! All she knew about Christianity was from our television show. I sent a Bible to her and her husband and got them plugged into a One New Man congregation.

Now that we have invaded secular TV (we air on Discovery Channel, Wednesdays at 8:30am ET/PT), I expect that this ultra-Orthodox couple will be just the first fruits of a major outpouring of God’s Spirit on Jewish people worldwide. We are preparing for this outpouring with full discipleship materials and new TV programs for our It’s Supernatural! Network (ISN). We already have over 700 archived It’s Supernatural! episodes on our high definition TV network. You can view our network on our website at SidRoth.org/ISN. You can also watch ISN on your iPhone or iPad by downloading our App from Apple. In addition, we have developed an App for Android phones and for Roku. There is no charge for our network. Many report they are playing it 24/7 and their home is flooded with an amazing presence of God.

By the time you read this letter we will have our Spanish version of It’s Supernatural! on air worldwide and will be well on our way to completing our Orthodox Jewish evangelistic website for Israel.

Yesterday, I got a text from a woman who works for me who was on a tour to Israel. She met a Jewish shopkeeper who came to believe in Jesus through the Hebrew version of my evangelistic book. He now distributes our books to Jews throughout Israel!

We are reaching multitudes of Jewish people. At our last Jewish outreach in Miami Beach, Florida over 200 came — mostly Jewish — and better than 90% stood up to make a profession of faith. Be sure to watch my video update about the outreach at SidRoth.org/Miami.

I do not know anyone who is bearing as much fruit for the Kingdom in Jewish evangelism. But we really need your prayers and large financial gifts to continue the greatest expansion in reaching Jewish people since the First Century. This is uncharted and unprecedented territory!

Your partnership will not escape the notice and favor of heaven. The only thing we take to heaven is souls. Jesus will return sooner than we think. Invest your prayers and money in a ministry that is bearing much fruit.

Shalom and Love,
Sid Israel Roth
